There are times we all need a little help when it comes to finding a date. Especially if you have been out of the dating scene for awhile. It’s hard to know where to go to meet other singles and have fun. Sometimes, depending on how you came about being single, it can be really difficult. Speed dating can help. It allows you to ask others that are single questions that maybe you wouldn’t feel able to ask them if you just met somewhere else. When you first meet a potential partner at a speed dating event, you really have no idea if you are going to chose that person or not.
Many people who have a difficult time finding a date are people who are always working, never setting time aside for themselves. Or maybe people who were in a relationship for a long time and they are suddenly single due to a separation or even death. If you have been out of the loop for awhile with dating, you can have a really difficult time getting back into the swing of things.

First thing you need to do is find a speed dating event happening somewhere close by. It doesn’t have to be right up the street, but that would be nice. To find a speed dating event, just watch the social ads in the classifieds, If you don’t see anything listed, then do an internet search for local speed dating events. Other places that may have some information on one happening are churches or libraries.
Once you get set up with a speed dating event, you need to prepare your questions. When registering for the event, be sure to ask who is asking the questions at that event. If it’s you, the best thing for you to do is write them down ahead of time.
Dress comfortable for the event or in whatever attire you would wear on a typical outing. Don’t show up at event looking more high maintenance than you are. Many people like classy looking people, but there are also many that don’t. So be yourself. Do try to make yourself out to be who you aren’t. When I do that, it always backfires on me.
Get there on time. You never want to be late for a speed dating event. It’s best to be early. Give yourself time to be able to get set up and ready before the nights event begins.
Most of all have fun. If you are enjoying yourself, people will be more attracted to you. It’s like a party full of singles. Go have some fun.
